The Nerithe Ring is constructed in 22 karat gold and centers on an ancient Greek silver coin, set within a raised gold bezel. The band is broad and deliberately weighted, with Ceylon sapphires set into the shoulders on either side. The high-karat gold has been finished with a soft satin surface, allowing a natural patina to develop over time.

The coin is presented not as embellishment, but as structure—held, protected, and permitted to retain its original marks and relief.

Nerithe, an ancient Greek sea nymph, was loved by both Aphrodite and Poseidon. When Nerithe refused to leave the sea and ascend to Olympus with Aphrodite, he was transformed into a sea creature—depicted here by a rare and beautifully struck octopus.

Over millennia, Nerithe has come to symbolize beauty, loyalty to one’s origins, and the quiet strength inherent in remaining true to one’s nature—despite pressure or temptation.
